ROCKY RIVER, OH - The Saint Ignatius Tennis team split their last two matches, falling narrowly to Westlake 3-2 before bouncing back strong with a 4-1 win over Avon Lake.
In a closely contested match, the team came up short against Westlake on Monday.
After Tuesday's match against Ashtabula St. John was canceled due to rain, the team showcased depth and determination with a dominant performance against Avon Lake.
The Wildcats have not had much luck with the Northeast Ohio weather, but they are not letting the multiple postponements and cancellations affect their play. Weather permitting, the Wildcats' next match will come on Thursday, May 1, against Gilmour Academy for Senior Night.
