Dominic Santora '14 has completed his third season as the Head Crew Coach for the Wildcat Navy as he took the reins from Connor Walters '09 who moved on to Syracuse University to become an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for their Crew program.
Santora brings decorated experience back to his Alma Mater, which includes a three-year stint with the Varsity 8+ boat at Syracuse University, where he helped lead his class to turn around a program that was in the third-level final to consistently finish in the top 10 by the end of his career.
Santora was a four-year letter award winner with the Wildcat Navy during his time as a student-athlete. He credits his coach at the time, Matt Previts '97 for influencing his passion for the Crew program as a Coxswain.
Santora returned to the Wildcat Navy in 2018 as an assistant coach and has served as an assistant through the 2021 season.
He has been on the International stage as a Coxswain; in 2017, Santora was a member of the United States U23 for the World Championships.
Santora has led the Wildcat Navy to three consecutive Midwest Championships and the program would place second at the SRAA National Championships in 2024. In 2025, three of four of his boats would medal at the National Championships.
Santora is currently a Graduate Student at John Carroll University, working on completing his Master of Education degree in the Spring and will aspire to teach High School Social Studies. He is currently a Pre-Student Teacher at Lakewood High School.
