Saint Ignatius High School

Eric Dennis was named as the next head coach of the Saint Ignatius Swimming & Diving program in July 2020.

Dennis follows in the footsteps of the late Mike Lehto, who served in the role for two stints and led the Wildcats to State runner-up titles in 1991-92, 1992-93, and 2016-17. 

Dennis is a 25-year coaching veteran who previously served as head coach for St. Edward High School from 2010-19. A St. Edward alumnus, Dennis made several appearances in the State Meet as an Eagle.

Prior to his time at St. Edward, Dennis spent seven seasons as the head coach at North Olmsted from 2002-09. At the club level, Dennis owned, operated, and coached the North East Ohio Nemesis USA club team from 2006-17. 

Dennis most recently wrapped up his fifth year at the helm for the Aqua Cats. In those five years, the Wildcats have won four District Titles and have had individual State Champion swimmers, most recently Jude Banks in the 100-yard Breaststroke. 

Dennis has served as the Aquatics Director for the City of Fairview Park in his day job since 2010.
