Saint Ignatius High School

Sean Gill '08 was named the next Head Wrestling Coach in 2022. As a student, Gill was a member of the Mat Cats, competing for legendary Head Wrestling Coach Mark Sullivan. Gill would compete at the collegiate level at John Carroll University, where he would be a three-year Ohio Athletic Conference Place winner.

Gill graduated from John Carroll University in 2012 and got his first coaching experience at Saint Ignatius High School as an assistant coach with Mark Sullivan from 2015 to 2019.

Gill was a tremendous wrestler at Saint Ignatius but dealt with shoulder injuries in his junior and senior years. In his junior season, Gill qualified for the District Tournament despite sustaining a shoulder injury at the Sectional Meet.

In the 2024-25 season, Gill had a state qualifier in Brendan McGraw and a state alternate in Josh Novak.
