Saint Ignatius High School

2026 will be Matt Minnillo's 27th year coaching.  He has 10 years of experience as a Defensive Coordinator and two years as a Special Teams Coordinator.  He is a two-time State Champion and a State Runner-Up.  He has a College Playoff Appearance under his belt during his time at John Carroll University. 

In 2024, he led Gilmour's defense to give up just 15 points per game while pitching three shutouts.  Coached teams that finished second and third in the country in various polls.  In 2018, while coaching at JCU, they finished #1 in the country with 54 sacks (3.94/game).  He has coached multiple Saint Ignatius alumni during his time at JCU.
