WICKLIFFE, OH - The Alley Cats performed well at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament, securing a well-deserved first-place finish with a total score of 4345. Key contributors to the team's success included senior Grady Wilson, who delivered a jaw-dropping high score of 280, leading the charge. Senior Simon Booth also performed stellar with a score of 269, adding to the team's impressive performance.
Junior Mason Melgaard emerged as a standout player in the individual competition, clinching a first-place finish with an impressive series score of 678. Not far behind, sophomore Teague Green secured a third overall finish with a solid 632, while senior Tyler Liebert rounded out the top four with a strong 618 series score. The team's collective effort and standout performances helped secure the top spot, solidifying their dominance at the tournament.
The Wildcats will look to clinch a berth into the State Meet on Sunday, February 23, when they compete at the District Meet at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood. The competition is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. The Cats eye a second consecutive season qualifying for the State Meet.
