Cleveland, OH – Saint Ignatius High School senior and standout soccer player Justis Olorunto is launching, on behalf of Black Players For Change, a free three-day soccer camp to empower and advocate for young players. The camp runs March 24-26, 2025, for young players aged 10-14 of all skill levels. It takes place on McLaughlin Field on the campus of Saint Ignatius High School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.

This initiative is made possible with the support of former professional soccer player Justin Morrow '06, Saint Ignatius High School, alumni sponsors, and influential soccer community leaders. The camp will provide high-quality training, mentorship, and a supportive environment that celebrates the talent and contributions of black athletes in the sport.

"As a black player in a predominantly white sport, I've faced unique challenges," said Justis Olorunto. "This camp is about creating a space where young players of all backgrounds feel supported, inspired, and confident in their abilities—both on and off the field."

Justin Morrow added, "Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and uplift communities. This camp is all about giving back to the Cleveland community that shaped me during my years at Saint Ignatius. Together we'll introduce new kids to the joy of soccer, share important life lessons, and show them that they have a place in this sport."

A Legacy of Leadership and Excellence

Justis Olorunto, Saint Ignatius Class of 2025, a three-time OHSAA State Champion and 2024 High School All-American MVP, recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play for The Ohio State University. His journey has been marked by resilience, leadership, and a commitment to fostering diversity in soccer.

Justin Morrow, Saint Ignatius Class of 2006, brings an inspiring legacy to the camp as a former MLS All-Star, champion, and the 2021 MLS Humanitarian of the Year. Now serving as Head of Sports Partnerships and Programs at the University of Southern California's Race and Equity Center, Morrow remains dedicated to using soccer as a vehicle for inclusivity and social change.

Camp Highlights

• Professional Coaching & Mentorship: Experienced players and coaches will lead training sessions while sharing personal experiences and career advice.
• Empowering Conversations: Campers will engage in meaningful discussions about navigating challenges as black players in soccer.
• Exclusive Gear & Resources: On the first day of camp, each participant will receive a free soccer ball and t-shirt.
• Special Panel Discussion: On the final day, parents and campers will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to current and former players.
