Thank you for taking an interest in the 2025 Saint Ignatius Golf Program. We look forward to a very successful season where student-athletes can learn life skills and reach their full potential. Please take a moment to read below before registering for the tryout.
*Important Player Guideline Note: Given the highly competitive nature of our golf program, we strongly encourage any players trying out to have an official USGA Handicap under a 15.0 index, a strong competitive tournament background, and be able to shoot in the mid-’80s or lower in tournament play consistently. In addition, all players must be schooled in and adhere to the USGA Rules of Golf.

*Special Note: There will be a scoring cut after each day as we narrow down the number of players to the final roster. Saint Ignatius has three teams of 6 players. No players are exempt from tryouts. Due to the limited number of tee times we can secure, the maximum number of players able to try out will be 50. This will be on a first come, first serve basis so please register quickly.
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON Friday, July 21. No late registrations will be accepted. Players must be able to attend all three days of tryouts to make the team.
Final Note: ALL ROSTER DECISIONS WILL BE MADE BY THE COACHES REGARDLESS OF FINAL TRYOUT SCORING! Decisions will be made based on several factors with scoring being one of those.
Again, registration will close on Monday, July 21! Due to the limited number of tee times, no late tryout registrations will be accepted. Tee Times for the actual tryouts will be posted on Friday, July 25.
Tryout Details:
Tryout Day 1:
Where: Elyria Country Club
When: Monday, July 28: Tee Times Starting at 12:00 p.m.
Cost: Players are responsible for covering the cost of their tryout round of $60 and will pay in the pro shop before their round. Players can leave immediately after their round.

*Please note that if a player does not see their name on the Day 2 Tee Sheet, they will not be moving forward in the tryout process. We encourage all players to keep working on their skills, competing, and enjoying the game.
Tryout Day 2:
Where: Pine Hills Golf Club, Hinkley, OH
When: Tuesday, July 29 - Tee Times Starting at 11:00 a.m.
Cost: $40

*Please note that if a player does not see their name on the Day 3 Tee Sheet, they will not be moving forward in the tryout process. We encourage all players to keep working on their games and enjoying the game.
(Final) Tryout Day 3:
Where: Pine Hills Golf Club, Hinkley, OH
When: Wednesday, July 30 - Tee Times Starting at 7:40 a.m.
Cost: $40
The final Roster of 18 will be Determined by Coaches and will be posted to the Ignatius Athletics Website After the round. Season Play will begin on Saturday, August 2, and continue through late October.
