Saint Ignatius High School

Athletic Director Rory Fitzpatrick ‘88 enters his 21st year at Saint Ignatius this year, having served as the assistant athletic director for the first 10 years on campus (1999 to 2009) for the late Dale Gabor '66. 

As a student at Saint Ignatius, Fitzpatrick played football, basketball, and track. He graduated from Marquette University in 1992 with a degree in marketing and public relations. He now oversees an athletic department that sponsors 16 varsity sports. Fitzpatrick was recently awarded the NOACAA John Peyton Athletic Director of the Year award. In 2020, Fitzpatrick was awarded the NEOIAAA Athletic Director of the Year. In 2021, Fitzpatrick earned Athletic Director of the Year honors from the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. 

Fitzpatrick is one of five brothers who graduated from Saint Ignatius.  He currently lives in Fairview Park with his wife, Colleen, and their children, Cailin and Siobhan.
