Columbus, OH - The Alley Cats made history at the State Tournament over the weekend, achieving their best finish ever by placing fourth overall at HP Lanes.
The team totaled 4,092 pins, marking a significant milestone for the program. Sophomore Teague Green led the way individually, securing the top finish for the Wildcats by tying for tenth place with a score of 685 pins.
This strong performance has set a new standard for the team, and their remarkable showing at the state level will be remembered as a landmark achievement in the program's history. Last season, the Wildcats would qualify for the State Meet but missed the final rounds by one pin. This year, they qualified for the final Baker games.
In the Quarterfinal, the Wildcats defeated Springfield Kenton Ridge in the three-game series 231-258-256 to Kenton's 193-203-235. This would advance the Wildcats to the Final Four, which included Youngstown Boardman, Beavercreek, and Ashland. Ashland would come away first, being crowned 2025 State Champions.
Simon Booth, Tyler Liebert, and Grady Wilson are seniors concluding their bowling careers with the Blue and Gold on the Varsity squad. These seniors have paved the way for a standard of excellence for the Wildcat Bowling team.
The Wildcats wrap up another State Tournament appearance and are amid the best stretch the program has seen in its history.
